I have been married to my awesome husband for 5 years and we have 2 fur babies. I have taught first grade for 6 years. I absolutely love it! I enjoy reading, playing with my pups, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, shopping, and reading blogs and Pinterest!
Rachelle, over at What The Teacher Wants, had an *awesome* idea for behavior management. Click HERE to read her post. I started this today and the kids LOVED it! They couldn't wait for me to say, "Time to pick an egg!". They were so excited about the prizes, too. :)
Ugh. Today was the first day of state testing. First and second graders don't have to test this year, but all teachers were switched around so that none of the teachers were testing their own classes. So, I had to test an upper grades class. And boy am I exhausted! It is so tiring to just stand, and stand, and stand some more...and not do a thing!
and it's only Tuesday! What can I say? I'm addicted to the Target Dollar Spot. I had to go and just "check" to see if there was anything new. I found these cuties.
Then I picked up some more of these. I already had one of each, plus one with a lion.
And last but not least...
I'm in love! I've had a jungle theme for my classroom each year. A few years ago, Target had a ton of small rugs and pillows and I really racked up. Amazingly, they are still in good condition. However, I couldn't pass these up.
I'm thinking tomorrow deserves another Dollar Tree trip...
Are you counting down the days yet??? I know I am!! My kids have worn me out this year. We have 30 days left and I can't wait! So, what better way to count down to summer vacation than this little cutie?
Hadar, at Outfitted and Inspired, created this gem and is giving it to one lucky winner! She'll even let you choose the background color! Go over and check it out!!!
Hi! I am just starting out in the world of blogging. This is something VERY new for me! The doing my own blog thing. (I have been "stalking" many teacher blogs for awhile now) Thanks to my stalking I have so many *wonderful* resources. Hopefully, I will be able to give back!
Here is a "student" scavenger hunt I made for my firsties to do when we go back to school after spring break! (The fonts look better once you open with Word.)
